At Safari Lodge, we have a single Safari Room located near the Main Lodge. It can be interlinked with the Safari Suite to form a two-bedroom suite. This room provides a viewing deck and an en-suite bathroom with splendid views.

The Safari Suite is capable of accommodating up to 4 guests when connected with the Safari Room.

Treehouse Suite

The Treehouse Suite has a King Size bed (that cannot split into Twins), air conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito nets. Complimentary Wi-Fi access is available.

All rooms supplied with bottled water, spray-on insect repellent, Africology toiletries, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, and include tea and coffee-making facilities, snacks and a complimentary minibar.

Walking in the Bush

The daily Safari walk usually commences after breakfast. This is a fascinating activity as it allows you to observe the smaller animals that you would usually not see while out on the game vehicles. Our knowledgeable Rangers and Trackers will enthrall you with stories about the medicinal properties of plants, local beliefs regarding the wildlife and fascinating facts.

Our Client Reviews

  • Tim Taylor

It was our 50th wedding anniversary & we took our whole family, our children, their spouses & our grandchildren, 20 strong, on safari at Umkumbe Bush Lodge, Sabi Sands & then for 5 days in the Western Cape. In the Cape we stayed at Lyonesse House in Constantia, a fabulous property for a big group. It was all arranged by Denise of East Cape Tours. Everything went very smoothly & everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thanks Denise!

Stephanie has been the best agent I have worked with in Southern Africa. I bring groups from USA to South Africa and Zimbabwe and she has helped me tremendously.

Cearl Marney was an incredible agent, going above and beyond to arrange our stay at Amakhala Game Reserve. Not only were the arrangements flawless but Cearl also organised a nurse to come to our apartment to conduct PCR tests for the flight home. We would certainly recommend East Cape Tours (and Cearl in particular!) for any holiday bookings! We will be using them again next year Easter for sure!

For our first safari in Africa we decided to go to Sabi Sands private game reserve which was incredible. The whole process went seamlessly thanks to our amazing agent Valencia Sifo.
