MalaMala Sable Camp, a more intimate counterpart to MalaMala Camp, offers a secluded safari experience. Nestled in a prime elevated position at the southern end of MalaMala Camp, it overlooks the Sand River and the surrounding bushveld. Sable Camp can accommodate up to 20 guests across its seven suites, with some suites capable of accommodating three guests sharing. For those seeking exclusivity, the camp can also be reserved entirely for groups of 14 to 20 guests. Each suite at MalaMala Sable Camp offers a luxurious and comfortable retreat, complete with modern amenities and magnificent views. The camp’s facilities are designed to provide a seamless blend of comfort and nature, ensuring a memorable safari experience that combines relaxation with remarkable wildlife encounters.

Two guides accompany you on bush walks – the lead guide on foot, and the back-up guide follows in the Land Rover in case of any potentially dangerous encounters with animals. The Land Rover is also at your disposal should you wish to take a break, but do not want to stop the walk altogether.
The aim of the walk is not to encounter large and dangerous wildlife but instead to look at things you do not usually experience on game drives. These include tracks, birds, vegetation, as well as the other smaller, yet interesting, animals. The walk will be conducted on a road through an area that is relatively free of dense vegetation.
The photographic experience includes a dedicated ranger to guide you through your safari. Their intuitive knowledge of animal behaviour and skilled positioning of the vehicle affords one enhanced wildlife photographic opportunities. This, coupled with the option of either a sliding, cushioned camera rail or a fixed, cushioned camera rail, affords one the greatest comfort and stability when attempting to capture those quintessential wildlife images you’ve been waiting for.
